Load Shedding is Back in Nashik

After very good showers in first week of August , the hope for monsoon had revived and people had rejoiced as the Load Shedding had almost stopped.

But unfortunately, it was not long lived there has been a dry spell for almost 3 weeks and the state body has decided to again increase the Load shedding in resediential area to 9 hours and industrial area to almost 30 hours.

It is a wait and watch game.

Finally Nashik receives the rain it deserves.

Nashikfinally I hope has some respite from rains. It has been raining heavily for last 4 days. Ganagpur Dam as sources says is almosts 60 % full and gives some respite to the water starved district.

I had visted few places on saturday and will post some pictures tommorow for the same.

Meanwhile , the staggering power off for the industry has been reduced back to 24 hours from the 40 hours giving some respite to the industry.

Monsoon finally arrives

The citizens of nashik finally have some relief from the blistering summer, when light showers have hit various parts of the city. You could see people enjoying the rain in various parts of the city.

The showers have been very light and very minimal and is expected to gain momentum as days go ahead. It is expected to be a normal monsoon. These kind of light showers are very good for farming it is said.

As usual during weekends I will be traveling around and taking some pictures. This time I have a new Camera cannon SX 100 and hope to have better pictures than usual. Do keep visiting this blog for more information and pictures of the beautiful monsoon of Nashik.

Monsoon Series , July 8th 2007 From Trimbak to Vaitarna

Check this Scenic route, you will find lot of picnic Goers on this route . This is a Diversion just before trimbakeswar which links to Igatpuri / Vadiware.

The Route is filled with Rice fields and lot of beautiful water falls .

The Monsoon is here beautiful places around Nashik

The Monsoon is finally here. Nashik during monsoons gets beautiful with surrounding areas around Nashik being covered in green. There are waterfalls all around and it is a trekker’s delight.

During Weekends you will find hoards of people in groups visiting these places and enjoying the weather. During the next few weeks I will also be visiting some and will try and capture some moments in the Camera.

The series will run for some time and is not in conjunction to regular posts we have been posting on this blog. I you have few pictures and would like to share it here, I would be pleased to post them.
