It is said that it is in giving that we receive. The “Joy of Giving Week” is a national movement started by the GiveIndia foundation with an idea of ‘giving’. The movement has been actively supported by celebrities like Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Farah Khan, Surya, Geet Sethi, Nandita Das amongst many others. Joyfest, initiated by JAM and supported by MTV, is a part of the “Joy of Giving Week”.

Symbiosis Institute of Operations management (SIOM), Nashik, which is a constituent of Symbiosis International University, has volunteered in this initiative to become a member participant college in this movement. “Joyfest” will be a platform to bring the youth to connect with people and be aware of the world.

SIOM has planned to dedicate a day by launching a cleanliness drive in Nashik city on Sep 28, 2009. By way of this drive, the institute hopes to initiate and inspire people to be more responsible towards the society and the environment. Going forward, the institute will be taking many more initiatives such as Tree Plantation, Blood Donation, Working for the under-privileged etc. under the banner of Joyfest. The Spandan Team of SIOM appeals to all the youth in Nashik to be a part of this event to make it a grand success.
