Maharashtra State government is in the process of upgrading the present IT policy. The new policy is likely to be announced by December 2008.
Speaking after the inauguration of the 5th edition of ‘Business Partners Meet 2008′ held at Nashik by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), A M Khan, Principal Secretary, Govt of Maharashtra, said, “The present IT policy expired in June 2008. The government is in the process of upgrading the existing IT policy.”
“With land prices in Mumbai and Pune soaring government is looking for Tier II cities like Nashik for IT development,” Khan said.
